Result: Stratford 21 - Stow 19
Stratford Under 12's travelled to Stow and played in a thrilling match despite atrocious conditions this Sunday. Forward play dominated the game due the very muddy pitch and pressure from Harry Watts, Adam Best and finally Robin Sreenivasaprasad resulted in a quick score for Stratford which was converted by Harry Huckerby. Stratford's backs played with determination and displayed great skills in spite of the weather, William Roberts was forced into touch just short of the try line by a resolute Stow defence. Breaks by forwards Wyles and Davies kept up the pressure. Ollie Crabtree capitalised on the excellent possession won by Stratford's pack weaving his way through Stow's defence to score, Huckerby converted. Stow fought back and some excellent tackling by Short, Mylechreest, Perry and the Bell brothers kept Stow out for a long period, but Stow's persistence finally paid off and they scored just before half time. Half time score; Stratford 14 Stow 5
Forward play continued to dominate the second half and hard fought possession won by Knight, Tusynski, Best, Watts and Sreenivasaprasad kept Stratford camped on Stow's try line, the ball eventually span out through Huckerby and Parker again to Crabtree who fought his way to the try line to score on the wing. Daniel Perry successfully took the conversion. To their credit, Stow fought back and Stratford needed to defend their lines solidly, Stow managed to score twice and a missed conversion in the first half cost them the win. Stratford just deserved the result in an excellent match from both sides. Final score Stratford 21- Stow 19
