Date: 13-12-2009
Venue: away
Opponents: Sutton Coldfield
Result: W 19 - 0, W 12-7 D 14-14

Stratford Under 12's had a very successful morning travelling away to Sutton Coldfield this Sunday. In the first match they got off to a bright start - Marcel and Knight both launching attacks at the Sutton try line, Sreenivasaprasad was unlucky losing the ball as he crossed the line.  Stratford soon got the upper hand on a very narrow pitch, Beighton scoring from a wonderful show and go, to score, Daniel Perry converted. Marcel playing at No 8 was caused havoc for the Sutton defence, Adam Best captitalising on the best of these forays to score, diving over the line.  Daniel Perry joined the attack from full back and weaved his way through the flailing Sutton defence to score and convert his own try. Final score. Stratford 19 - Sutton Coldfield 0.

The sides changed ends in the second match and Sutton made effective use of their downhill slope to score their first try of the morning.  Stratford fought back, with the forwards, including, Watts, Wilkes and Tusynski fighting their way back up the hill, inch by inch.  Possession close to the Sutton line was used to good effect by Huckerby and Parker, Huckerby offloading for scrum-half Parker to score.  Huckerby converted.  Sutton fought back, but demon tackling from Ollie Crabtree in particular, made sure that Sutton did not score again. In a marvellous move by the forwards, Harry Watts stormed up the field, passing to Wilkes who almost scored but off loaded for Knight to score the final try.  Final score Stratford 12 - Sutton Coldfield 7.

In the final match, Stratford were still playing up the hill, and Sutton tried to take advantage, scoring quickly.  Excellent determination from Stratford's backs created a fightback, Ollie Crabtree passed beautifully for Willaim Roberts to score on the wing, Harry Huckerby converted.  Crabtree's incredible determination saw him weave through the entire Sutton defence twice from one side of the pitch to the other, to force his way over. Huckerby again converted. Sutton fought back and some stalwart defence including a crunching tackle from Daniel Wilkes denied Sutton until almost the end.  Sutton finally breaking through the Stratford defence to equalise.  Final score Stratford 14 Sutton 14.
